Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is an advanced treatment used for dry eye caused by meibomian gland dysfunction, inflammation, and problems affecting the oil glands in the eyelids. When these glands do not work properly, tears evaporate too quickly, leading to burning, irritation, fluctuating vision, and chronic dryness.
This treatment helps improve the quality of the oil produced by the glands so tears stay on the surface of the eye longer. Meibomian gland expression is often performed in combination with IPL to help clear blocked glands and improve results.

How IPL works
